Cool air, warm air, clean air. Trane has specialized in providing warm air solutions for nearly 100 years. Begun as a plumbing shop in LaCrosse, Wisc., Trane developed a Vapor Heating System in 1910 and, since then, the company has been a leader in innovation and comfort for homes and businesses.

Though first inspired by the need to keep warm during bitter Wisconsin winters, Trane grew and became recognized as an industry leader. The company developed air conditioning systems in 1931 for the then-radical idea that people could find relief from the summer heat indoors.
